Here at BB's Boxer Beauties we breed for quality and we would like our customers to have options in purchasing a
quality puppy. Anyone can sale a puppy. There are many differences between a good quality breeder and not so good.
When searching for your pet, you may notice some are kept in poor conditions. You've may also have looked in a pet
store. Sha! They all look cute. But be aware many of these puppies come from puppy mills! These puppies are kept in
the worst conditions possible. Do your research!! I've read many stories and also have seen first hand and it's sad.
Purchasing these puppies just because you fill sorry for them would be a poor choice. These breeders will continue to
breed as long as you or others are buying. They won't think twice and defiantly won't care about the health and genetic
defects that their dogs could or may have, this can be passed along to their puppies. As long as these dogs are able to
breed, they will continue to breed. They may also offer cheaper prices to reel you in. You get what you pay for, cheap
prices usually means poor quality and health. Raising good quality dogs are not cheap. They require many trips to the
vet as a puppy, then yearly to receive all their shots. Test may also need to be done. Next, putting them on a type of
de-wormer, keeping fleas off of them and out of your yard. Then comes feeding them quality food and vitamins that will
provide them a long and healthy life. And don't forget the chew toys/bones for when they are teething, treats for
training, bedding and/or crate for sleeping. This is only the beginning of raising your dog, then if you decide to breed
you still have the puppies to care for once they are born! These puppies also require shots, wormer, trips to the vet and
so on before they go to there new homes. Quality care, Quality puppies. It's hard to find a good [breeder that is more
interested in their dogs health and well being and not just breeding to breed. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
The first thing when purchasing a puppy you should ask yourself...
How are the parents cared for, is it part of a family environment or is it stuck in a kennel all day and night waiting it's
turn to breed? Are they in perfect health before breeding. Do they breed every time their dogs come in heat?
Did the Dame receive extra nutrients and calcium while in whelp? Which is to assure the puppies were receiving the
best, before they are even born. Good quality breeders are making sure their dogs/puppies are receiving the best they
are able to provide.
Other things to check are...
Ask to see there shot records! Are they up to date with their wormer, what type do they use and why? Do you notice
fleas? Ask what are the steps they use to help control and keep fleas off there dogs? Where do they sleep? If kept in
a kennel, ask how often are they are let out? I could go on and on!! You really need to use your judgement before
purchasing. This will be a new family member and you need to think of him/her that way, this is a life time commitment.
